MY FRIEND WROTE A BOOK. My friend who I met way back in middle school, who was one of the first people I ever met who knew Jesus, and whose testimony has continued to bless my life even though we live many states away and don’t talk as much as I’d like.
It’s been a while, dear reader, and I’m back! This season of life has put blogging on the back burner, but recently I’ve heard from so many of you how parts of our story has been encouraging to you, and I find myself thinking perhaps this is the motivation I need to step it up.
If you missed the last few updates, here’s a quick recap: we had a baby in 2020, lived through 2+ years of global pandemic (anyone else?!), and have generally been just trying to chug along putting one foot in front of the other, searching for the next right step of obedience when the world feels hard and life feels overwhelming. What is time, am I right?!
One of my goals for 2019 is to have a more consistent and robust prayer life. I got tired of my own drive-by genie-in-a-bottle prayers: “Dear God help so-and-so, she’s really struggling. Amen.”
Since I enjoy writing things down, fun pens, and doodling, a prayer journal seemed like a good way to combine all my loves with my new goal. This idea didn’t come to me until January 29, so I’m only a few days in, but I’m going to share what I’ve got so far.
Hi there, I’m Caitlin: mama bear, joy-seeker, daughter of the King, and wife! I’m from upstate NY, but now we live in NC. In addition to being a stay at home mom, I’m an avid DIY crafter, volunteer, disciple, and village-builder. My mission here is to bring you some encouragement along the journey of motherhood through my faith, foibles, and failures as I bumble and stumble along the path of life as a woman, wife, and mom of little kids.
