A friend shared this with me this quote from “New Morning Mercies: A Daily Gospel Devotional” by Paul David Tripp: “Most of what we call fellowship never really rises to the level of the humble self-disclosure and mutual ministry that make fellowship actually redemptively worthwhile.” Recently at the Mothers Ministry, we discussed meaningful friendships and building our village: a fellowship of moms, and women, rooted in Scripture.
I sat down to write this post no fewer than four times, and each time I came up short. The myriad of lies we believe as moms, as women, as sisters, as children, as friends, all ran through my mind. Some of them were so beautifully articulated already in this collaborative series by my friends Mikenna, Amanda, Lily, and Katie.
I can’t believe its Friday AGAIN! And a new month, too. Hello, February: what better way to usher in your freezing face than with a bright new blog post? This week’s collaborative blog series post is from my friend Katie. To recap: 5 bloggers (4 blogs), 5 weeks, 1 post each about #tradingliesfortruth. At the end (February 15): one giveaway winner announced on Instagram!
I’m Caitlin: Mama Bear, joy-seeker, daughter of the King, and wife to the most patient man on Earth! I’m from upstate NY, but now we live in NC. In addition to being a stay at home mom, I’m an avid DIY crafter, volunteer, disciple, and village-builder. My mission here is to try to bring you some encouragement on the mission of motherhood through my own failures as I bumble and stumble along the way through life as a mom of little kids.
