MY FRIEND WROTE A BOOK. My friend who I met way back in middle school, who was one of the first people I ever met who knew Jesus, and whose testimony has continued to bless my life even though we live many states away and don’t talk as much as I’d like.
I’ve been absent lately—please forgive me, dear readers! This time of year brings with it seasonal depression and a bit of chaos, but I’m here! There’s lots of life updates to come, including progress on therapies for our youngest, school for the big kids, and more.
It’s been a while, dear reader, and I’m back! This season of life has put blogging on the back burner, but recently I’ve heard from so many of you how parts of our story has been encouraging to you, and I find myself thinking perhaps this is the motivation I need to step it up.

“There are a lot of reasons to wear a mask, even if you hate it.” Eighteen months in, and still having these hard discussions with people. Hi there, I’m Caitlin: mama bear, joy-seeker, daughter of the King, and wife! I’m from upstate NY, but now we live in NC. In addition to being a stay at home mom, I’m an avid DIY crafter, volunteer, disciple, and village-builder. My mission here is to bring you some encouragement along the journey of motherhood through my faith, foibles, and failures as I bumble and stumble along the path of life as a woman, wife, and mom of little kids.
